The Amsterdam Admirals defeated the 3-2 Sea Devils at home 41-31 in the highest scoring match of the league this season. The rematch between the Admirals and the Sea Devils was nothing like the game last week. Starting Admirals quarterback Drew Olsen, who left the game injured last week, was playing again and even scored a rushing touchdown. Admirals runningback Johnathan Smith scored 4 touchdowns which is league record tie.

The game in Hamburg vs. the Admirals became a challenge between the Bramlet brothers. After Admirals starting quarterback Drew Olsen got a knee injury, backup Corey Bramlet took over to challenge his brothers team. The Sea Devils were strong enough to keep the zero on the board for the Admirals till halftime.

In the second home game of the season the Amsterdam Admirals played against the Frankfurt Galaxy. Galaxy, undefeated and World Bowl champion, defeated the Admirals in their first game in Frankfurt.

With a losing streak of 2 the Admirals started the game against Thunder. The offense still hasn’t found his chemistry yet but the defense seems to be improving over the last two weeks. In the first half national Linebacker Akwasi Mensah seemed to have found his drive and made some good stops and ended the game as the best linebacker of the game.

The Admirals faced there second loss in a row in their first home-game against the Rhein Fire. The team from Dusseldorf wasn’t that strong either but the Admirals were not able to turn the tide after the loss in Frankfurt. With a 10-16 score the Fire fans went home with happy faces.

The Amsterdam Admirals where not able to win the unofficial rematch of World Bowl XIV against the Frankfurt Galaxy. Once again the men in purple where to strong and beat the Admirals with 30-14. The Galaxy took their lead mainly in the second half. A couple of hundred Admirals fans who traveled to Frankfurt were witnessing this disappointing result.

Well, after a few weeks of training, the boys are finaly in the Netherlands. Since they arrived last week with about 100 fans welcoming them at the airport the team has had the team photo shoot, pracitices and the welcome back party.

I've been in Tampa since saturday March 24th for the NFL Europa 2007 Training Camp. Sunday the players had a day off and most could be found in the Mall accros the street from the hotel. Monday morning it was time for practice again so there was a early curvue for the players.

At 19:00 CET the NFL Free Agent draft was held and all six coached had a chance to select 20 free agents to add to their selection. These players are added to the already allocated and drafted players and will be fighting for one of the about 50 spots on the squads.
